Not an hour drive away from Madrid you feel transported several hundred miles way ahead, and several decades, if not centuries, way back. Madrid Region’s countryside, coated with vineyards and historical villages, that supplied wine for the capital since its very foundation (since its conquest by the Castilians from the Moors actually).
You will visit three wineries with a tasting of two or more wines on each place. The owner or winemaker will show you the winery most of the time. Modern and traditional winemaking merged at the Vegas (fertile plains) region . The wineries selected are a mixture of modern and traditional styles. All of them show a different aspect of winemaking.
