Madrid: Circulo de Bellas Artes
On my days as a tour guide in Madrid, participants of Gourmet Madrid Tapas Tours have asked me many times about other places to visit, places to go, bars, monuments, terraces…

In short, local recommendations. There are plenty of options to choose from but you know, everyone has their favorites, and among mine is always this: The Roof of “Circulo de Bellas Artes” (the Circle of Fine Arts).
Located in a privileged place, Alcalá street with Gran Via, very close to the Paseo del Prado and the Barrio de las Letras (wonderful area to stroll around and enjoy a few wines with their tapas) is the Círculo de Bellas Artes building which, in addition to offering shows, exhibitions and workshops, has a roof terrace where you can enjoy one of the best views of the city.
The place is awesome. From the entrance of the building we take an elevator that takes us to the attic.
At 56 meters high the terrace offers panoramic views of almost 360 degrees of the roofs, streets, monuments and skyscrapers of Madrid.

In the company of a statue of Minerva (Roman goddess of wisdom, arts and military strategy) lovers of gastronomy and wine can also enjoy this space.
The roof also has a restaurant, a bar and even a chill-out area that invites you to relax while marrying good food and wine with.
